Picture
My work is rooted in a lifelong connection to the Irish landscape and a deep fascination with the ways light transforms the world around us. Whether painting a quiet park, a coastal lighthouse, or a burst of poppies in bloom, I aim to capture not just the physical form of a scene, but its atmosphere, mood, and rhythm.

I began my artistic journey over three decades ago, working in oils and pastels, and now primarily paint in acrylics. This medium allows me to build layers of colour and texture that reflect both the serenity and vibrancy of nature. My style moves between realism and impressionism — recognisable places and subjects are softened with expressive brushwork, inviting viewers to linger and find their own sense of place in the painting.
Inspiration comes from my surroundings in Maynooth and beyond, from gardens and fields to the coastline and streetscapes of Ireland. Each painting is, for me, an act of appreciation — of nature’s resilience, the fleeting beauty of light, and the emotional resonance of familiar landscapes.

My work has found homes in collections across Ireland, Europe, the United States, Australia, and Asia, but at its heart, it remains a reflection of the Irish environment that continues to inspire me daily.
